Earlier last year, my husband turned away from God and started using drugs at the age of 53. It was absolutely shocking and I was devastated. I chose to move out for the safety of our two children, aged seven and eight. On the day I left, I found out that he had drained all our financial accounts and I was left without money or credit.

However, I want to give praise to God because He helped my children and me through this very difficult season. We were able to rent an apartment without any credit and He was always supplying our needs so that through His provision, I could care for my children.

I also want to thank your ministry for helping to see me through this difficult season. I really had no idea how much God loves me but the encouragement and strength I received while watching you preach helped to change the tragedy in my life and completely turned it around for good. I knew that God loved me and had a GOOD plan for me and my children’s lives. So I chose not to give in to self-pity and despair.

I learned to pray in faith and to recognize God’s grace and ability to help me when I couldn’t help myself. He even helped me to minister to special needs children and performed great miracles in my classroom. As a result of His goodness and favor, I was awarded Bakersfield’s Teacher Of The Year title and am the recipient of the district title.
