I was born with an arthritic inflammation disease (AS) that attacked my body. For many years, I was unaware of what it was until I was correctly diagnosed in 2004. Although I have been a believer since 1987, I lived a defeated life without knowing it. But one morning, the Lord changed my course.

Early in the morning, before going to work, I would listen to sermons on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) or Daystar. One morning, I noticed a young man preaching faith. This young man had something my heart burned for, for so many years, and I did not know where to find what my heart desired—the gospel.

I have never heard the gospel of peace preached. Truly, this was God’s grace to reveal His Son. Each day for months, I would look forward to hearing newer, deeper truths that set me free from condemnation, guilt and legalism.

One Saturday morning, while lying in bed enjoying His peace and love, the Spirit of the Lord told me to get up, wash up and go to my mom’s place.

Upon arriving, nothing seemed to happen at first and then my baby sister whom I have not spoken to for many years (due to unfortunate circumstances) came over and hugged me. We talked, laughed and enjoyed each other’s company. We talked about God’s grace and Jesus’ work on the cross. She has also received His truth and was set free from the bondage of condemnation. I watched my sister change from hard to soft. Years of hardness melted away.

On my way home while driving, I realized that my body was not riddled with pain anymore. My knees felt so alive and young, no words can express the euphoria I felt. No more arthritis inflammation controlling my body—only because of the grace of God and His mercies that are ever abundant. Pastor Prince, you are truly blessed.
