I was smoking marijuana every day for almost 8 years. I smoked from the moment I woke up and continued throughout the day till the night. It was an expensive habit that cost me up to $300 a month.

I would watch Joseph Prince while I smoked and even praise God while my blunt was lit. I knew I wanted to stop smoking but I wasn’t sure if I was ready to quit. I was so used to the habit. What will I do if I stopped? How will I eat or sleep because I was dependent on weed to do these things?

I called Joseph Prince Ministries for prayer and also wrote in asking God to take away my desire to smoke marijuana. After I prayed, I threw my sac in the toilet and thought that was it. Well, that didn’t last at all. The same day I bought more. I continued smoking for several more months until one day I just didn’t want it anymore. I still can’t believe it, but I really didn’t want it anymore!

Now I fill my time with what has always brought me joy—dancing, singing, and, of course, praising my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I spend a lot more time with my kids since I’m not hiding in my room smoking. And I have so much more energy. The best part is that I feel true joy inside!
