Enjoying God’s Provision and Protection during Student Exchange Program

I had been experiencing a sharp pain in my leg that affected my ability to walk. However, through the continual partaking of the Holy Communion with my family members, and the continual faith declaration that “by His stripes, I am healed,” my leg was healed. Thank You, Jesus!

Apart from this healing, I want to thank God for His provision and protection too. In March 2016, I received an exclusive invitation to apply for a student exchange program at a prestigious university in London. Talk about God’s favor! It was never my intention to go on an exchange program, let alone in Europe, as it is expensive there. I was excited about the possibility of being selected, but unsure if this was truly an open door for me. At the same time, God also put it in my heart to apply for a scholarship in a career I had passion for.

Months later, I received positive news for both the exchange program and scholarship. The scholarship relieved my family of the financial burden of paying for my university fees. It also provided for the hefty funds needed for the student exchange program. I was thrilled! God provides superabundantly, far more than we could ever ask or imagine!

There were a number of terrorist attacks while I was in the UK and Europe in 2017, including the one in Westminster on March 22. As news of it flooded the media, I was horrified that the attack, which killed five people and injured at least fifty more, took place right where I was taking photos with my friends a month before. Had I been there 1 month later, I could have been one of the victims. Yet, amidst all the confusion and chaos, I felt a sense of great relief and peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that the hand of God had put me at the right place at the right time!

None of the protection, provision, and true peace I experienced would have been possible without God. Without God’s grace being unveiled, I simply cannot imagine where my life would be now. Words do not suffice to express my gratitude. Thank You, Jesus, for your finished work at the cross that gives me life and life more abundantly!
