I have been born again for 19 years and for the most part of my Christian life, I had little or no relationship with the Holy Spirit because of the legalistic way the Holy Spirit had been taught to me.

I saw Him as a nagger who was always looking for ways to fault my behavior. It seemed to me that the Holy Spirit was easily grieved or quenched because I was wrongly taught that. Yes, I spoke in tongues and believed that the Holy Spirit was our Helper, but I didn’t see it the way you taught it. All I knew about the Holy Spirit was that He is here to demonstrate in and through us the power of God. I continued to speak in tongues but was scared stiff of this “nagger”.

That was until 2011, when I heard you teach on the Holy Spirit. You taught on John 16 and how the Holy Spirit is here to convict us of our righteousness in Christ. I now have a clearer understanding of who the Holy Spirit is to me and I am so very grateful.

For years, I did not benefit from a relationship that was designed to enable me to walk in freedom. Now, I have a real relationship with the Holy Spirit. I can hear His voice so clearly. The Word of God has come alive. I look at the Word through the righteousness of God that I am. It has been so amazing.
