One day, I had a severe sore throat. I was watching Pastor Prince on television and heard him preach about God imputing righteousness to us through Christ. When he read the Word from the perspective of God’s grace, I felt moved and began to weep. I also felt a release in my spirit and a sensation of something melting off my shoulders.

I had suffered under the weight of shame for years over not receiving because I wasn’t believing correctly and thought I was unrighteous. As I wept and received my deliverance from shame, the severe pain in my throat completely disappeared! Healing wasn’t even on my mind at that point. I was simply caught up in the joy and release of receiving God’s grace and having my faith restored.

Pastor Prince, I was raised in a legalistic environment where I learned nothing about God’s grace. In fact, I learned the opposite and saw God as domineering, vindictive, and distant. Hearing your teaching about grace has changed my life.

I now see God as my loving Father who gently draws me to Himself. As I let go of my performance and simply receive His grace, He heals my mind, body, and emotions. Hallelujah!
