Freed From Pornography Addiction After Praying In Tongues

I am thankful for your Web broadcast entitled, Tongues—The Key To Prophesying Your Future, as all I know about speaking in tongues is from you and the Bible. My church does not preach about speaking in tongues, and there are so many sources of information with weird interpretations. Some books even state that speaking in tongues is of the devil!

But today, as I was watching your sermon for the third time this month, I claimed Romans 8:26—“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

I have been struggling with pornography for a while. Basically, I went through a whole loop of deception, with the devil telling me that it’s all right to watch. I even heard about all sorts of health benefits from masturbation and was told that God would not have provided these health benefits if the act is wrong.

I told the Holy Spirit that I wanted to get out of this sin and I proceeded to pray in tongues after watching your YouTube video on speaking in tongues.

As I was praying in tongues, I cried. Tears streamed down my eyes, and I can tell you, I’m not a person who cries. I was hurt emotionally long ago and after that, my emotions became numb. I haven’t cried in years.

When I prayed and cried, I could feel as though I was speaking directly to God, crying out to Him. Somehow, I knew then that the sexual sin was out of my life. The Spirit has helped me in my weakness.

Now, whenever I face a temptation, I’ll pray in tongues.
