My wife and I had been believing God for a child for 11 years. We had faithfully kept this same prayer as one of our 3 prayer requests yearly.

We went through 2 in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatments. Through the long and tedious procedures and minor surgeries, my wife was still not able to conceive, and we were left disappointed.

Then, my wife conceived naturally. However, our nightmare came when the gynecologist discovered that my wife’s hormone levels were not increasing, and told us we had suffered a miscarriage. At that point, I felt a lot of resentment and anger toward God, and I stopped praying. I didn’t feel like talking to Him at all. It was the darkest moment of my life.

During my time of disappointment, God opened my eyes to the verse, Hebrews 6:14, which I had been meditating on for my work: “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”

I felt prompted to look up this verse again, and this time, God showed me another translation from The Passion Translation: “So he said, ‘Have no doubt, I promise to bless you over and over, and give you a son and multiply you without measure!’” At that moment, all the dark clouds over my head were instantly removed! I didn’t even know the verse I had been meditating on carried such a powerful revelation. Immediately, I knew this was for me.

I shared this with my wife, and we decided to trust God again and started our third IVF treatment. A few months later, the doctor announced that my wife was successfully pregnant. And by the grace of God, she was carrying twins! Hallelujah!

On August 8, 2024, our twins—a boy and a girl—were born! Thank You, Jesus, for always loving me. Even when I turned my back on You, You remained faithful and never left me. I am a child whom Jesus loves.
