To anyone who wonders if God cares about your prayers, I am a witness that He does. I listen to Pastor Prince’s sermons and have always heard him saying that “if it matters to you, it matters to God—even the small things.”

Even though I knew this to be true in my head, there was always that little voice in me that questioned whether God cared about every aspect of my life. But now I am sure that He does, even when it comes to the small things.

Some time ago, I entered a contest to win free concert tickets and a meet-and-greet pass with a recording artist that I really enjoy listening to. Upon submitting my entry, I just prayed a short prayer claiming the prize in Jesus’ name.

I completely forgot about the matter after that but later, I received an email informing me that I was the winner of the contest! I was beyond ecstatic and so thankful for the unmerited favor of the Lord. Simple prayers are powerful!

This simple act of the Lord’s favor has absolutely made a powerful change in my life. I am even more encouraged now to believe that He is willing to do things for me, even the things I deem insignificant. He truly cares and gives me all things to enjoy!
