Four years ago, my sister bought me your book, Destined To Reign. I was not interested to read it at all because I was living a religious life based on self-effort at that time. I didn’t want to read a book telling me that it wasn’t about me, or how much I prayed and fasted.

But my husband and I were also about to lose our home to foreclosure during that period and we had nowhere to go and didn’t know what to do. As I was feeling helpless, I felt the book beckoning me to read it, as if telling me that my answer was in there.

I finally picked up the book to read it but quickly put it down because I’ve never heard of what was said in the book and the message went against all that I was taught. But with the situation of our home looking desperate with no lender to help us, I prayed again and all I got was your book staring back at me. So I picked it up one more time and this time, began to read it with a more receptive heart and mind. It took me about a year to finally accept what was written about God’s grace in the book.

Somewhere down the road, we received a letter in the mail stating that our mortgage company had been bought over by a bank. Thinking that the bank can perhaps help us keep our home, we gave them a call about our situation. When the bank pulled out our records, they told us that our house has been paid in FULL! We have since been living in a debt-free home for the past two and a half years!
