I stumbled upon Joseph Prince Ministries sometime in January 2013. At that time, I was broke and struggling to get ahead in life trying to make a living out of music with no formal training in music. I was jobless with no future prospects in sight.

As I started to learn about and understand what being a Christian means, I slowly began to recognize the difference between religion and having a relationship with God. During that time, I bought the book, Destined to Reign, and read it in four days. Learning about grace has truly changed my heart.

In July, I woke up one morning and looked up the phone numbers of five-star hotels and restaurants in my city to enquire about any job openings for musicians. I called at least thirty hotels and restaurants, and the food and beverage manager of one hotel was interested to meet me. When I reached the hotel that evening, there was already a pianist, but during the interview, the manager told me he was not satisfied with the current pianist. He told me he would call me for a live demonstration to decide if he wanted to hire me.

After two weeks, I went to give a live demonstration after praying about and committing it the Lord. I played on the grand piano for almost two hours and because I was not used to the piano, my fingers started to hurt twenty minutes into the performance. But at the end of it, the manager was quite happy. He told me that I sounded great. I was surprised! It was simply God’s favor and not my piano-playing skill.

I signed a six-month work contract with the hotel and everything went well until December. Just a day after Christmas, I was told that the hotel was not doing very well and that they were going to dismiss me in January 2014. I was quite surprised, but I did not fear because I knew that the Lord was with me no matter what.

I started to look for a new job immediately. This time, a very famous and established hotel I had called up earlier had a job opening for a musician in February 2014. Since I was laid off in January, they asked me if I could come down to give a demonstration. I went down, performed, and they accepted me for the position! Moreover, I got a pay increment of almost 60 percent! Also, my new workplace is so much nearer my home. To top it off, I get to have a wonderful dinner that consists of wild salmon and other nutritious foods that were not available at my previous workplace. Since then, I have saved up money and with the help of my dad I bought some equipment needed to start producing music for television commercials!

Life is amazing and I now know that God has great plans in store for me. I would like to thank Joseph Prince for all that he’s doing. I am immensely blessed by his sermons that are full of God’s wisdom. People need to know how good and amazing God is!
