My mom was very sad when my brother passed away last Thanksgiving. In addition, she was afraid that my father, who was also very sick with prostate cancer, might pass away.

I shared Joseph Prince’s book, Unmerited Favor, with her and encouraged her to read it. About three weeks later, she came to me with such excitement, exclaiming, “I got it, Mija, I got it!”

My mother told me that she’d read the book when she was feeling down, and the Lord Jesus revealed to her how much He loves her, and how she would never be alone for He would always be at her side.

She then told me she was no longer afraid of my father passing away. My father passed away shortly after, but ever since the day she talked to me, she has been very positive.

She shared with the nurses at the hospice that the book made her understand so much, and that she no longer had any fear. I am so happy for her–-she has come to know the Jesus that I have known for many, many, years now.

Both my parents also prayed the salvation prayer, just before my father passed away. I give thanks to the Lord, for saving both of them.
