I have been listening to Pastor Prince’s teachings on Psalm 91 from his CD album titled, The Secret Place—Where You Find Protection And Long Life. I even memorized the psalm.

I teach ballet on Wednesday nights and would usually leave immediately after class as it takes me twenty minutes to drive home through the Endless Mountains region of Northeast Pennsylvania. However, I somehow took longer than usual to leave after my class on February 24.

During the drive home, there was a severe thunderstorm. I saw the sky light up three different times with lightning strikes. They were followed by pitch darkness while rain poured down.

After driving through a mountain pass where the road leveled off, I saw a line of vehicles from the opposite direction parked on the side of the road. I also saw a large truck with emergency lights heading toward my direction.

I could not figure out what was going on but I did not stop since there were other cars behind me. Nevertheless, I slowed down along the way and maneuvered carefully in a zigzag manner around and over small tree limbs that were strewn all over the road. I thought it looked like a tornado had just gone through the area.

It was not until the next day that I learned that an EF-1 tornado had touched down in Wyalusing Township the night before around 7.30pm in the area of Homets Ferry—exactly where I saw the tree limbs. The tornado was so strong that it even uprooted a tree.

If I had left immediately after my class, I would have driven straight into the tornado! All glory to Jesus for His protection as I abide under the shadow of the Almighty!
