Some months ago, I read Pastor Prince’s book The Prayer of Protection and meditated on Psalm 91 for a few weeks. I also shared the psalm with my brothers and sisters in Christ.

One day, I received a call—a friend’s mother had been rushed to the hospital for seizures, loss of speech, and memory loss. Her symptoms had no apparent cause. Although she had had an illness that required chemotherapy, she had been showing signs of good health for a few years and was even taken off chemotherapy.

Things did not look good and the doctors could not figure out what was wrong. So I prayed Psalm 91 over my friend and his family and told him to do the same.

Later, I learned that my friend’s mom was in a stable condition and was free to go home the following day. It turned out that a change in her medication had triggered the symptoms. God had led the doctors to diagnose the problem correctly, thereby protecting her from further health complications.
