I struggled with addiction to drugs, alcohol, and porn for over 35 years. I got saved at the age of 10, but I drifted away from the Lord in my teenage years, grappling with porn and later alcohol and marijuana. That led me to sell marijuana to support my habit. This environment exposed me to other drugs, which I also used.

From the age of 18, I realized I was addicted and wanted to be free from drugs and porn. I was in and out of 12-step recovery fellowships, attended church, and asked God to take away my urges to use drugs and watch porn, but I couldn’t stop.

While still in active addiction, I came across Pastor Prince on cable television, probably around 2007. But I continued my lifestyle until 2019, when I suffered a stroke from years of neglecting my body and abusing substances. I knew something had to change. I found Pastor Prince’s YouTube channel and began to watch him during the pandemic when I was stuck at home. I had lost my job due to the stroke and my driver’s license. I was depressed and had begun to drink more often, feeling sorry for myself.

It sounded ridiculous then, but I did what Pastor Prince suggested. I declared that I am the righteousness of God in Christ while I was still using substances and watching porn and felt a desire to stop using drugs and alcohol. It took me 2 years to stop completely, and I realized I had also stopped watching porn. Hallelujah!

I haven’t fully recovered physically from the disability resulting from my stroke, but I know God spared my life that day. I partake of the Lord’s Supper daily and read the prayers from Eating Your Way to Wholeness, which the ministry sent me. I claim my healing by Jesus’ stripes and await the manifestation of my healing.

I’m also reading Destined to Reign and plan to share it with my men’s recovery group at my church, where I am a leader. I share what I have learned from Pastor Prince’s teachings, and people’s lives are being changed and restored through Jesus Christ!
