I had been addicted to masturbation since the tenth grade. I am now thirty-one years old. I tried overcoming the addiction using my willpower. Although it seemed to work for a while, I would backslide to an even worse state.

I had listened to a lot of sermons and had taken part in several crusades, but none of them delivered me from my addiction. Whenever I read the Bible, I felt God was judging me and I would become afraid. I also thought I could never become righteous and holy before Him because of my failures.

After years of trying and failing, I stumbled across John 8:32—“you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” I wanted to know “the truth” that would set me free. That was when I got hold of Pastor Prince’s message on the grace of God, His gift of righteousness, and my righteous standing before my heavenly Father.

These truths set me free! I started confessing my righteousness in Christ and was freed from self-condemnation and my addiction. Now, my old life just seems so unattractive. Truly, when I am under grace, sin has no dominion over me (Romans 6:14). Hallelujah!

I praise God for Pastor Prince and his ministry. May God bless him and may the ends of the earth hear the grace gospel that sets them free.
