My granddaughter has always been very shy and could not speak in public or sing, even though she has a very beautiful voice.

One day, she heard Pastor Prince on his morning television show, Destined To Reign, talking about how he stuttered in school and how the kids made fun of him. She listened as he told his testimony of how God healed him and how God is now using him to reach people all over the world with the good news of God’s grace and love.

After that, my granddaughter took Pastor Prince’s testimony to heart. She said that if God did that miracle for him, He would do it for her too.

She now sings in the youth band at church and is also in the club called Fellowship of Christian Athletes in high school. One day, they were praying for the school and our country. She was feeling very nervous when she knew it was almost her turn to pray. At that moment, she remembered Pastor Prince’s testimony of how God had changed him and was emboldened to pray out loud.

After that, the pastors who were present came to her and told her that she had prayed a beautiful prayer. But she could not even remember what she’d prayed! That was when she realized the Holy Spirit had prayed through her and so she never had to worry about what she had to pray. All she had to do was give it over to the Lord.

Just recently, she was chosen to sing the National Anthem before the volleyball game in the high school gym, and she gave the situation to the Lord again. Her voice was so beautiful when she sang.

Now, she says that when she has to speak or sing in public and feels uneasy, she just recalls Pastor Prince’s testimony and that keeps her going.
