I’m a single mother with two young girls under the age of eight. My marriage collapsed when I was pregnant with my second child.

My then husband had an affair during my pregnancy. Deeply hurt and physically abused by the man, I went into depression. I couldn’t understand why he had done this to me when I had done everything for him, including financing our marital home and car.

I went through the full nine months of my pregnacy and subsequent delivery alone since I had no one to turn to for help. Then, a month after my daughter was born, my husband walked out on me.

Sometime later, a long lost secondary school friend contacted me. She invited me to join her at New Creation Church, but I kept declining her offer until July last year. Since then, I have never stopped attending service at the church.

On December 31, Pastor Joseph Prince led the congregation to make three prayer requests for the year. First, I prayed for my daughters to do well in their health and studies. Second, I prayed for my parents to live in harmony. Finally, I prayed for a home in 2013.

During that time, I had been applying for a built-to-order flat for years but without success. As a result, I’d to live with my parents and sister. However, due to limited space, both my daughters and I had to sleep on a small mattress in the living room facing the kitchen.

On January 7, my prayer was answered when I received an email from the Housing Development Board (HDB) informing me that a flat in a nice suburban area has been allotted to me! Better still, I didn’t have to repay the grant that I’d taken earlier from the HDB in cash. Instead, the amount of that grant was added to my selling price and that allowed me to use the funds in my Central Provident Fund to pay off the full sum for the flat. The Lord blessed me with a sum of S$225,000 so I was able to pay fully for my flat and receive the keys on May 9.

The Lord is so wonderful! Thank you, Pastor Prince, for your way of preaching that has opened my heart to receive Jesus. In my new home, He shall be my Lord and Savior!
