On Monday, 13 August, I was just about to step into the shower when the glass door shattered, sending broken glass all around me.

There were so many broken glass pieces that I could not move even an inch, or I might get cut. My daughter had to sweep up the glass and she noticed the shards of glass in my feet, which were causing bleeding. Because I had not moved for fear of stepping onto the broken glass pieces, she could only see my back.

My daughter thought that the glass pieces must be all over the front of my body and face because there was not a clear spot on the floor, toilet or basin. When I eventually turned around, she was shocked that I had not a scratch on my body or face.

These were her words: “Mum, it’s as if someone hugged you and took all the glass meant for you on his back.” All glory to our Lord and my Savior, Jesus. It was His grace and protection that saved me.

Two days after the incident, I drove to work. I was stationary at a traffic light waiting for the light to turn green. The next minute, I heard a loud bang and was jerked forward in my seat as a car behind me had banged into the back of my car. I literally shivered with shock and could not even open my car door as my fingers were trembling uncontrollably and the bang was still ringing in my ears.

The newspaper vendor standing on the curb said to me: “That man behind you hit you hard. I heard the bang.” The driver of the other vehicle apologized to me and said that he had been stationary and was just reaching forward to pick up something. He did not even realize that his car had lurched forward. After he inspected both our cars and realized that neither of our cars had even a scratch, he was stunned!

Hallelujah! I just praised God for his protection and favor over His children. Thank You, my Jesus, that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of God rises in my life! Thank You, Daddy, I love You too!
