Family Protected from Serious Injuries in Car Crash

A few months ago, my family and I went on a short holiday. On our first night, we took a private hire vehicle back to our hotel. My husband sat in the front passenger seat while my mother-in-law and I sat in the back. Before the ride, the driver reminded my husband to wear his seatbelt.

Just before reaching our hotel, a speeding car crashed into us from behind. Our car hit the center divider, overturned, and flipped 3 times before stopping upright. We managed to get out and I was surprised to find I had no open wounds.

My husband and mother-in-law suffered minor cuts, but we were all conscious and alert. The front windscreen was shattered, and the top of the car near my husband’s seat was dented. If he hadn’t worn his seatbelt, he could have been thrown out. We decided to return to Singapore for further medical checks.

Doctors were amazed we had escaped a severe accident with only minor injuries. They said such crashes usually result in serious injuries or fatalities. While they called it luck, we knew it was God who had cushioned us. Two days before the accident, my grandmother had a sudden burden to fervently pray for all her grandchildren and declare Psalm 91 over us. The night before, my mother also prayed in tongues for our protection. The Holy Spirit had moved people to intercede for us, and we truly felt our heavenly Father’s love.

My husband was discharged after outpatient treatment while I was admitted due to slight bleeding in my brain. My mother-in-law was also monitored due to her age. However, we were discharged after 3 days. Two days later, at a church meeting, a pastor prayed over me as I had a slight headache. He declared Christ’s finished work and prayed for my healing. That night, I went for a follow-up scan—the doctors found no more bleeding!

The Lord completely healed me within 4 days of the accident, and we were even able to serve at our Indian Life Group’s Thanksgiving service. Recently, I went for a follow-up check-up. My latest scan showed my brain was in perfect condition, and I was discharged from neurology follow-ups.

As Pastor Prince teaches, we should never take the Lord’s protection for granted. My husband and I continue to apply anointing oil and declare Psalm 91 daily. All glory, honor, and praise to Jesus for His protection!
