Home and Neighborhood Protected from Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene was a very large and powerful Category 4 storm, and for many days leading up to landfall, it was forecast to directly hit our town. On more than one projection in one of my weather apps, the storm’s path showed it coming right over our home. Despite what we saw in the forecasts, we kept confessing and believing our home would be protected.

For the past few hurricane seasons, my family has believed that no hurricane would hit our home. On more than one occasion, we anointed our property with oil, received Holy Communion, and declared Psalm 91’s protection over our home. Each time, the storms have veered to the east or west and not come directly to our home in North Florida. God has been good to us.

For hurricane Helene, we evacuated safely from the storm to another state but remained reliant on the Lord to protect our home and neighbors. The night before we evacuated, I had a dream about Bibles opened to Psalm 91 in each room of our house. I didn’t take stock of it initially, but after praying and anointing the home, I noticed a Bible on our dining table was open to Psalm 91. I asked my wife if she had opened it, and she had. I took that as confirmation and opened Bibles to Psalm 91 in each room of our home.

We also reached out to Joseph Prince Ministries to agree with us in prayer. A few team members from the ministry who lead our care group responded quickly and stood with us in agreement. Despite continued projections that we would get hit directly, we held fast to confessing protection for our home and neighbors. Instead of being afraid and watching the weather, we listened to Joseph Prince's sermons and enjoyed each other’s company.

Miraculously, the storm turned east at the last minute, and our home was completely protected. Our neighbors told us that our street didn’t even lose power. A family friend and retired police officer, who had worked in more than 12 serious storms, told me he had never seen such a dramatic turn in all his years. Thank You, Jesus!

Thank you so much for your prayers. We are so thankful that we know who we are in Christ through this ministry. Without Pastor Prince’s teachings, we wouldn’t have known how to believe that we would be entirely protected with Psalm 91 and how to expect Jesus’ deliverance in the midst of the storm!
