I used to be very impatient with my five-year-old son. Being eager to get him ready in time for school, I would get angry and yell at him every morning before he boarded the bus. This not only caused both of us to feel miserable, but I would also be full of guilt, condemnation, and sadness after seeing him off.

I’ve heard Pastor Prince preach on confessing that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus even when we fail. This was very difficult to do because I was still condemning myself for not being the godly mother I longed to be. However, I still confessed this promise over my life and it brought a sense of liberation over me.

During that period, I was also partaking of the Holy Communion because my son was born with hypothyroidism and my eighteen-month-old baby girl was suffering from allergies as well. I was believing God to heal them.

Amazingly, even when I thought I was taking the Holy Communion for healing to manifest in my children, God was also doing a work in me. Not only had I ceased yelling at my son, the both of us were always ready and had spare time with each other before the school bus arrived. Our mornings have been pleasant ever since.

Now, my baby girl has been healed of all her allergies and even though my son’s healing has yet to manifest, I know that he has already received his healing because of Jesus’ finished work at the cross. All I can say is, this is grace.

The grace of God and the partaking of the Holy Communion have brought love to my home and I am very excited that God has manifested himself in my home. Furthermore, listening to Pastor Prince preach has liberated me from legalism, as I have never heard the gospel being preached in this manner. I can say with all confidence that this gospel is the real deal.
