Two years ago, I found myself feeling deeply dejected and helpless after suffering 2 miscarriages at the age of 37. My first loss was a twin pregnancy. I lost both babies at 4 months and developed severe hypertension afterward. The second pregnancy felt like a ray of hope for my shattered soul, but I lost that baby at just 7 weeks.

While seeking comfort and answers through online sermons, I came across a message by Pastor Prince. That sermon shook the foundations of my disciplined Christian faith. I began listening to more of his messages.

Although my part-time job contract was set to end in September that year, and I had been told an extension was not possible due to the project’s funding ending. Miraculously, I was offered a full-time position at the same job. This was just the beginning of the many blessings we would receive that year.

I became naturally drawn to listening to sermons daily while cooking, before bed, and whenever I had free moments. I stopped watching Netflix and other distractions and focused entirely on absorbing the messages throughout my day. Through sermons on grace, the rapture, and the end times, my understanding began to change.

Previously, doctors had told me that I needed to lose weight, adopt a certain diet, get my blood pressure under control, and wait 3 months before trying again for a positive pregnancy test. This felt overwhelming for someone struggling with depression and stress eating. After listening to the sermons, I went to my Father God just as I was and told Him that I could not do all of this on my own and that He would have to work my miracle through these infirmities.

I began partaking of the Holy Communion 3 times a day, declaring that I am healed by Jesus’ stripes and that any infirmity in my body preventing a healthy pregnancy was removed. I also declared that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and therefore eligible for all His promised blessings. I stopped waiting to muster enough “faith” to earn my miracle.

Miraculously, I received a positive pregnancy test result the very next month. I continued to partake of the Holy Communion before every hospital visit and read the Healing Scriptures eBook aloud whenever possible.

During one of the GRCO Digital Care Group sessions, the leader noticed my prayer request in the live chat and subsequently reached out to me via email. She connected me with her team member, who prayed for me faithfully and even held Zoom prayer calls with me. During one of these sessions, they prayed for me to speak in the holy language. Although I was unsure at first, I soon began speaking in tongues, even when the enemy whispered lies that I was not doing it right or was not “holy” enough.

For the first time, I experienced a completely uneventful pregnancy. I did face some challenges during and after labor, but I was reminded by the GRCO team that in this world, we will face challenges, so we should keep our eyes on the One who has overcome the world. By declaring healing scriptures, I stood firm even when my systolic blood pressure rose to 200 mmHg.

We welcomed our beautiful baby boy last April, and he is everything we prayed, hoped, and dreamed of. I pray that God will always protect him, just as He protected him in the womb. He has been custom-made to be blessed and to be a blessing to others.

During this same period, we were also praying for my husband to be accepted into an internal medicine training program in the United States. After five years of struggle, with no human recommendations or assistance, he miraculously received an interview invitation and has now completed his first year. There is truly so much power in God’s grace. The only effort I have learned to rely on, with God’s help, is to stop my own efforts and let God be God.
