I used to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes for many years, and believed that giving them up would mean a secluded and solitary lifestyle. Finally, I decided to surrender my addictions to the Lord and told Him I could not break it on my own. Somehow, I knew He was able and willing to help me.

One day, out of the blue, my husband, who was also struggling with the same addictions, said he would not be buying any beer that day. That was five years ago and we have not drunk any alcohol since! We have not smoked cigarettes for over two years either.

Thank You, Jesus, for helping us overcome our addictions so restfully. Our enemies are now our footstools indeed!
