I was born and raised in a Christian family. But I relied on my own efforts to be righteous in God’s eyes and tried my best to please Him. This gave me a lot of pressure and I was afraid of His anger whenever I messed up.

When I became a teenager, I would masturbate to satisfy my lust for sexual pleasure. I knew it was wrong, but I couldn’t stop. As I continued to serve in church, I struggled to come into God’s presence freely and boldly.

At age eighteen, I had a boyfriend and we would masturbate together. Each time, I would feel so guilty and ask God for forgiveness. I would even promise God to never do it again but I couldn’t stop the habit. I almost gave up on life.

Later, I discovered Joseph Prince’s messages on YouTube. I listened to them and learned that Jesus had died for my sins, sacrificed His life for me, and how I already had God’s forgiveness. I was so interested to find out more. So I got hold of Pastor Prince’s books and learned more about grace and Jesus’ finished work. My life began to change.

One night, I cried when I realized how much He loves me and how Jesus had paid for my sins and redeemed my life at the cross. Because of the cross, I am already righteous in Christ. I don’t have to depend on my own efforts to earn God’s forgiveness.

In the blink of an eye, I lost all desire for masturbation and never wanted to do it anymore. God’s grace has transformed my heart and stopped me from sexual immorality. I’ve also left my boyfriend and our sinful lifestyle. I just want to seek God more and more.

Today, I live in victory over sin, fear, and death. I love Jesus more and more each day because He first loved me. Someday, I want to be a preacher of grace and share how Jesus saved my life.
