I was diagnosed with Stage III rectal cancer last March. As a medical doctor, I knew the seriousness of my condition, and as a Christian, I sorrowfully prepared myself to accept what I believed was God’s will for me, and that was to die at the age of 53, much earlier than I had expected.

But when I saw the grief of my husband and thought about my 2 teenage boys growing up without me, I prayed, “Lord, is it possible for me to have more time with them?”

Somehow, I knew from the Gospels that God heals, but I wasn’t sure if healing was for me. I read the 4 Gospels many times, which ignited hope in me. I listened to many sermons about healing, but nothing really strengthened my hope for healing until I came across Pastor Prince on YouTube. He said God is willing to heal me and that it is God’s will for His children to be well!

I listened to Pastor Prince’s preaching every day while undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy, believing that God wanted me well. I went back to the clinic to treat my patients, believing that I was well.

During a break in my treatment, my family and I flew to Singapore to attend a New Creation Church service. When Pastor Prince declared, “And by His stripes your cancer died!” I claimed that word for myself. I continued with my chemotherapy and partook of the Holy Communion twice a day and listened to sermons day and night.

At the end of my 8 months of neoadjuvant treatment, I was scheduled for what was expected to be an extensive and difficult operation. I had prayed that I would not have to undergo surgery because I believed the tumor was already dead. However, my latest MRI scan still showed something there, and my family, friends, and colleagues urged me to proceed with the operation. So I did.

After the surgery, my surgeon testified that it was one of the smoothest operations he had ever performed. All my organs were preserved from the harmful effects of radiation that typically cause adhesions. Everything was fine and in place, and in place of the 6 cm tumor was nothing but a scar! My post-operation biopsy also confirmed that I am cancer-free and no longer need chemotherapy or radiation. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, for He is good!

Pastor Prince, I believe it was condemnation that led to Satan’s attack on me. The Lord had blessed me all my life, but I kept asking myself why I had received so many blessings. Somehow, I expected something bad to happen one day in exchange for all my blessings or as payment for my shortcomings.

I only became confident of my healing when I realized that my Lord Jesus had already paid it all for me, and that I am righteous in the sight of my Father in heaven because I have been redeemed by the blood of my Savior, Christ Jesus. He came to give me abundant life!

In my 37 years as a Christian, it was only through your church that I came to realize this, and my joy and peace in the Lord became complete.
