I have been very vocal against smoking my whole adult life. Yet I started smoking during what others call a “mid-life crisis.”

One night, I prayed to the Lord and said, “Please take it from me as I know it is not honoring to You.” The very next morning, I had no desire to smoke! For one year, I remained smoke-free.

Then I lost my home and had to move in with my family. One of them handed me a cigarette and that started a 5-year struggle with trying to be free of the habit again.

I do not have a local church and prayed and chose Pastor Prince as my pastor about 9 years ago. I started hearing him talk about how when you light that cigarette, start confessing, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.” So I started to do that, and within a few weeks, I was freed from the habit! That was approximately 4 years ago, and I am so grateful God has protected me from even being tempted to indulge again in that harmful habit.

Praise God and thank you, Pastor Prince, for always pointing us to Jesus Christ and God’s goodness. I pray for you, your beautiful family, and ministry staff for God’s protection, promises, and blessings in Jesus’ name.
