Healed Of OCD Through A Revelation Of Jesus’ Finished Work

I grew up in a Christian household, but in high school I started having problems. I was having anxieties, fears, and worries. I developed obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which manifested itself in rituals. I had to compulsively complete all these rituals or I would get severe anxiety. I was so bound by these rituals that I could not live life normally.

I was also having serious doubts about God’s existence, especially after being taught the theory of evolution in school. I had a lot of questions and even stopped believing in God for a time. I viewed my world through logic and intellect. I wanted to believe God but I was overwhelmed with doubts. I started to become depressed.

I tried everything I could. I looked at science to try to answer my questions about God. I tried everything to remove my OCD, rituals, and anxieties. I even went for therapy and read books, but they did not help me. Feeling that no one could help me, I became more depressed.

Finally, with nowhere else to go, I reached out to God and asked Him to answer my questions, take away my doubts, and help me believe. I also asked Jesus to take away my fears and heal me of OCD.

Slowly, God began to answer my questions and began to show me proof of His existence. Soon enough, God answered all my questions and strengthened my faith! I was growing in my relationship with Him, but the OCD was still disrupting my life.

I was praying and believing for healing, but it had not come. For more than a year and a half, I continued to trust God and His Word that He loved me and that “by Jesus’ stripes I am healed.”

One day, I was watching Pastor Joseph Prince on television. His message was on the Bible verse, Romans 8:3, which declares that Jesus took on the likeness of sinful flesh and God condemned sin in the flesh through Jesus. All sin of the flesh was condemned in Jesus’ and this includes my bad thoughts. Because of this, my troublesome thoughts cannot separate me from God or His blessings!

This revelation fully healed me! There was a drastic change in my life that even my family noticed. I was free—free from all fears and all bondages!

God answered my prayers exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or think (Eph. 3:20). Now I know Jesus is real and alive because of my close and personal relationship with Him. God grew my faith more than I could have ever imagined. And it is He who grew my faith, not me. Now, He is using me in huge ways for His glory!

The gospel of grace has changed my life. I have such great hope, peace, and joy that are ever multiplying in my life. I am resting in Jesus and He is abundantly supplying all my needs. God continues to grow my family and me, giving us new revelations of Jesus and His love and grace. The best thing is that all of God’s gifts are freely given because of Jesus!

All of these blessings that we’ve received are due to God’s grace and the finished work of Jesus Christ. Thank you for preaching the wonderful message of grace, Pastor Prince!
