Healed Of Severe Abdomen And Heel Pains

I would like to share two accounts of healings I’ve experienced.

On a Sunday in August 2012, I was suffering from a severe pain in my abdomen. I prayed but the pain grew worse and I had to see a doctor on Wednesday. After some tests, I was diagnosed with an infection that was causing the pain and bloating. I took the prescribed medicine but the symptoms deteriorated even after I’d completed the course.

Meanwhile, I continued to partake of the Holy Communion and listen to Pastor Prince’s sermons every day. In one of the sermons I heard, he taught that Christians should begin their lives from the finishing post, where all blessings have already been given to us because of Jesus’ finished work at the cross. He also said that symptoms and circumstances lie to us and deceive us into thinking that we do not have healing or provisions that are already ours in Christ.

I suddenly realized the truth of Colossians 1:27 and 1 John 4:17 and that the symptoms that I was experiencing were lies. The Lord also reminded me of the several instances when He had healed me in the past few years of several troubling conditions.

Subsequently, I began confessing 1 John 4:17—“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world”—several times and a few days later, I woke up feeling perfectly fine. Praise the Lord!

Then, on 16 November 2011, I was hit by a sudden pain in my right heel. I tried to walk but the pain worsened. Over the next two days, my heel hurt so badly that I was crying out every time I took a step. I was unable to walk and worrying thoughts sprang up about my work which involves walking.

Even though I had taken some painkillers, the pain persisted for another two days. I finally got tired of the pain, called it a lying symptom and commanded it to leave. I then took the Holy Communion twice a day and also anointed my heel with oil. Two days after doing this, there were only traces of the pain left, which totally disappeared on 22 November 2011.

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness. He is really good and all His promises are “yes” and “Amen” in Christ Jesus! We do indeed begin our journey at the finishing post. His stripes have really healed me and in this world, I am completely well, just as He is at the right hand of God the Father!
