Healing from Deep Grief After Mother’s Day Prayer
My wife and I were driving a semi-truck and had stopped in Dallas when we had the opportunity to visit GRC Dallas-Fort Worth Church. It was Mother’s Day last year. During the service, the GRC pastor prayed a blessing over the mothers and then prayed a special blessing for mothers who had lost a child.
My wife and I lost our 24-year-old son to suicide in 2020, and every Mother’s Day since then had been especially difficult for my wife. But as the pastor prayed for the mothers who had lost a child, my wife felt the deep grief she had been carrying begin to lift off her in a mighty way. It was no accident that we were there on that special day.
We are now past this year’s Mother’s Day, and while we are still healing, so much healing has already taken place. I thank God for Pastor Prince’s ministry and how much it has impacted our lives. We watch online every Sunday and feel that we have become part of the family.
We also run a ministry to the homeless and have the privilege of sharing the gospel with them once a month. It is my greatest privilege to share the gospel with them in the way Pastor Prince has shared it with us. The message has impacted some of them so much that we are now trying to start a separate Bible study to go deeper into the gospel of grace.
Thank you so much for all your ministry does. It has taught us so much about our heavenly Father’s love, and as we continue to grow in the revelation of His grace, we are experiencing more and more freedom. God bless you all, and may His grace continue to open more doors for you.
