I grew up without a father, was abused by my grandfather, and suffered domestic violence during my first marriage. My parents and I also went through our share of divorces. When I became a believer in 1984, I was already in my third marriage and had been battling shame from the divorces and failures in my life.

In 2015, I came across Pastor Prince’s television broadcast and began to tune in every day. I finally came to believe that I’m forgiven. As I partook of the Holy Communion and meditated on Hebrews 12:2, I was finally able to let go of the shame that had burdened me for so long.

Today, my heart is filled with confidence and boldness. I know the Lord has provided me with His righteousness and I’m so thankful to be truly freed from the shame that had been tormenting me for years. I also believe that the curse is broken in Jesus’ name—my children shall be protected from failed marriages, shame, and fear. In fact, my son now pastors a church after experiencing God’s grace in his life.
