Protected from Encountering Hurricane Helene

I frequently pray Psalm 91 and also ask God to place us at the right place at the right time.

Last September, a dear couple invited us to go camping with them at Deer Creek Campground in North Carolina from September 22 to 27. Although we wanted to see the sights and spend time with our friends, we knew we needed to be wise with our finances and not spend money at that time.

When we began hearing reports of Hurricane Helene, we reached out to our friends to see if they were okay. They were—they had got up early on September 26, left the campground, and made it out safely. They later shared with us that one of the major roads they traveled on to get home had been washed away due to the heavy rains caused by the hurricane.

We were saddened to see the devastating loss of life and destruction that Hurricane Helene left in its path. But it wasn’t until a few weeks later that I reflected on how much God had protected us from the hurricane’s destruction. God truly places us at the right place at the right time. Hallelujah!
