Restored to Job That Was Lost
One morning, I woke up early to worry, as I had so many attacks against me and everyone in my close circle. I started watching Joseph Prince Ministries on YouTube and later rededicated my life to Christ.
The devil had me believing I was undeserving of God’s unmerited grace, mercy, and even love. But praise God, the sermons encouraged me and set all the lies straight. God sees me and hears my outcry for Him!
The same day, I tried to write out a prayer request, but when I tried to submit it, I received an error message. However, I found the phone number to call. All the big issues were called out by name, and the things God has done since have been mind-blowing.
Three weeks before I made the prayer request, my dad passed away, and everything associated with taking care of his final business and arrangements was a battle! From dealing with his organization’s human resource department to the funeral home canceling my father’s service mere hours before it was to start, to me not being able to go back to work due to my being a traveling nurse and having to take care of things at home.
The 2 weeks or so that I was supposed to be home turned into almost 2 months. My new contract was supposed to start, but the facility lost funding, and my contract was canceled. I signed a new contract, but then Dad passed, so that was also canceled. Running out of money and having a mortgage, car note, and insurance, along with many other bills and no paycheck, stressed me out.
God got things moving with the approval of Dad’s life insurance, and I was able to reschedule the funeral services for him. I remembered becoming a privately contracted nurse last year and started applying for fill-in shifts. I got rejected several times until one came through while I was spending time with the Lord. I was approved for four shifts to start the very next day.
I was so incredibly grateful that at least I had something scheduled to cover some of the bills. But God was not done. I was at lunch with a friend when I received a call from my recruiter about my main job. The facility that lost its funding contacted her to see if I would come because they were back and fully funded. Praise God! This was so on time, and I am so grateful the Lord saw and heard me. This job is everything I wanted in terms of the days, hours, and pay. All glory be to God!
