Set Free from Dark Thoughts, No More Bound by Anxiety and Depression

Pastor Prince, I first began to truly grasp the weight and fullness of God’s grace for me when I picked up Destined to Reign. The Lord brought me back to many foundational truths I learned as a teenager, like picking up His Word and memorizing key verses that reveal His heart.

He completely set me free from aggressive, dark thoughts that bound me in anxiety and depression. When I was listening to your ministry on cable television, I called the ministry’s hotline and received No More Mind Games.

The Lord delivered me when I listened to the most powerful message I’ve ever heard: “Winning the Battle of Your Mind.” As I listened to your teaching on 2 Corinthians 10:5, the truth that we are to focus our thoughts on Jesus’ perfect obedience hit me like a tidal wave. Sitting in my car listening as I drove, I immediately felt the Lord tear off so many bondages. I cried out, “Yes! Jesus’ perfect obedience for us!” with tears trickling down my face.

Your testimony of how you used to keep short accounts with the Lord in Destined to Reign really resonated with me. Like you, I took 1 John 1:9 to the extreme. I was constantly dredging up verses every time I was conscious of any feeling or thought that wasn’t right. The enemy had placed me under a soul-suffocating bondage. I don’t know how long I could’ve kept going like that, like a Lazarus before Jesus rolled the stone away. Thank God, our dear Savior set me free from that, and by His grace, I will continue to walk in this revelation. Now I’m free to really flow with the Holy Spirit.
