Pastor Prince, I’m twenty-three years old and have been a Christian my whole life. However, I struggled with a pornography addiction since I was thirteen. Whenever I viewed pornography, I would cry and tell God that I was sorry and would not do it again. Although I was sincere in trying to change, I ended up sinning even more.

Then I started to watch and listen to your messages about the Holy Communion on DVD and MP3, and would partake of the covenant meal. During this time, your teachings were very precious to me because they reinforced a sense of complete and eternal righteousness in Christ. I learned that my righteousness comes not by my own efforts but through the death of my Lord Jesus on the cross. This revelation made me (and still makes me) grateful to the Lord, and helped keep my eyes on Him instead of my sin.

I was also very impacted when I heard you preach on the importance of confessing “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.” I would declare it aloud while taking the Holy Communion and even as I went about my day.

I would also confess my righteousness in Christ after viewing pornography. Although it felt strange to do so, I would feel a strong presence of God. It was as if my heavenly Father was reassuring me that He knew about my struggle and still loved me the same. This was very important to me.

My addiction finally broke when I watched your ministry’s Calvary animation video of what happened at the cross. When I saw it, the words “Yeshua Ha-Mashiach” (Hebrew for “Jesus the anointed Messiah”) came up in my mind again and again. I believe God was showing me that Jesus is my Savior and righteousness, and that my identity is found in Him.

Since then, I have remained free from pornography for two years now. I give Jesus all the glory because I know that without Him I would have remained bound. Today, I am enjoying such a close and wonderful relationship with Him.

I love how your preaching is all about Jesus and what He has done, instead of our works and imperfections.
