Pastor Prince, I met a little girl at the local elementary school where I work as an instructional tutor. For 2.5 years, my family and I helped to look out for her.

This little girl’s mother died of a drug overdose and at the age of 5 she was abruptly moved to Texas to be in the custody of someone with a proof of paternity. She would come home during the summers to spend time with her grandmother. I really wanted to adopt her for a long time but I was only able pray for her and help to mentor and support her grandmother.

In February 2016, I was listening to your podcast, The Confidence that Brings Great Rewards. You said, “At this time next year, you shall embrace a son. You shall embrace a daughter. This time next year! Amen! I believe this is a now-word for many.” I secretly believed that this was a word from God for me.

A few months later, there was an opportunity to gain custody and care for the girl. As we held on to the words you spoke, we took hours of classwork, completed the home study, and traveled all the way to Texas. Communication was difficult because of the distance and just when we thought her arrival would be pushed back again, everything fell into place.

On February 2017, exactly 1 year after hearing your message, we got to embrace our daughter who walked through the doors and came home to us!

Thank you, Pastor Prince, for your ministry of grace! Many of your other messages are now becoming applicable as we try to help her. Thank you for giving us hope through the message of Jesus Christ and for never backing away from the only message that can bring us comfort—the message of grace! Your ministry has forever changed my life!
