I have worked for a local government in Nevada for 30 years. In my annual review, I can receive an increase in pay or a step up in merit. After 10 years, I no longer receive an increase in pay but only a step up in merit, and I am allowed a yearly cost of living increase.

In 2022, there was a restructuring of the pay scale, and my wage was frozen with no annual cost of living adjustment. I had thought it would be this way until I retired. But recently, our employee association approached the local government to repeal and reinstate the annual cost of living adjustment.

I received an unexpected raise in salary and annual cost of living adjustment! I thank Christ Jesus for His wonderful manifestation of grace. Thank you, Pastor Prince and the pastors in your church, for sharing our loving Savior with me. This is truly The Year of Living in the Upper Room!
