I have had issues with pornographic images coming to mind for as long as I can remember, particularly when going to sleep or waking up in the morning.

I used to lie in bed confessing my sin and pleading the blood over it. However, I found this very ineffective. It was like saying, “Don’t think about elephants,” and suddenly, I’m thinking about elephants again!

I thought that removing my anime and other suggestive media would improve things, but even after doing that, it did not really take away the desire.

However, after listening to Joseph Prince’s latest sermon on righteousness, I now know there is only one confession of sin. All I say now is, “I’m forgiven,” and immediately the image breaks!

I now use “I’m forgiven” for a bunch of other images or feelings that come to me, and it is incredibly effective. It puts my mind right back on Jesus!
