After listening to Pastor Prince’s grace messages in 2003, I started tithing. Before that, even though I was making decent money for my age as a self-employed tutor with a Masters’ degree, it was like putting money into a bag of holes. I had only $10 in my bank account and had to borrow money from my father, whom I was living with.

But as Pastor Prince has shared, “God’s economy is different from man’s economy.”  I embraced the revelation of tithing and sowing seed. I told myself that if I really could not manage, then I would stop tithing.

Whenever I had my pay, I would immediately set aside money for tithing. I would even give away my last $10 if a friend needed it. From that day onwards, I enjoyed my work more, I tutored students who were easy to handle, I helped my students achieve A’s in their subjects, and whenever I was in a tight spot financially, some extra income would pop up so that I did not need to stop tithing at all. I also started to set aside a day of rest instead of tutoring seven days a week.

Fast forward ten years from that day—my net salary has more than doubled. Dollar-wise, doubling one’s salary in ten years may not be that impressive, but the Lord blessed me way beyond just material possession.

I’m working five days a week with a permanent contract in an international organization, with full medical insurance, great pension, and in a job that has much better career prospects than tutoring. I have received outstanding appraisals and I have a fantastic boss. I earn much more than I need and I am able bless my family, friends, and their children with gifts. I am also able to save more and have a better quality of life.

I just wanted to share that God’s Word is true and what Pastor Prince teaches about tithing and sowing is accurate. It’s been tried and tested in my life.
