For more than 10 years, I developed pain in my left pelvic area. Over time, the pain became more severe, greatly affecting my work and social life. I saw several gynecologists and was given a diagnosis of probable endometriosis. The medications prescribed were quite expensive, and most could not be found in my country. All the doctors I saw told me it would be very difficult to get pregnant with my condition.

I started on a downward spiral into what seemed like depression. Then I remembered a preacher, Pastor Prince, whom I had listened to years earlier. I started listening to his sermons whenever I could—while driving, bathing, or falling asleep. I started to see, believe in, and fall in love with the Jesus of the Bible, that He never came to teach people lessons through sickness but healed all who would receive.

Two years ago, my condition started improving as I continued praying with friends and family and being in the Word. I also built up the faith to start believing for a baby. However, later that year, I suffered significant side effects from the medication, including heavy bleeding, and I collapsed, requiring hospitalization.

Even through all this, I found comfort in the Word, especially in the account of the woman with the issue of blood. Last February, I started feeling sick and had a lot of nausea. I decided to take a pregnancy test before going to the hospital for a checkup, just to rule it out. Imagine my surprise when it came back positive! I could not believe it. I later went for an ultrasound, which confirmed the pregnancy.

I’m now the mother of a healthy 2-month-old baby. All glory be to Jesus! Indeed, the plowman shall overtake the reaper! I thought I would have a baby only after I was “completely healed,” but even in the midst of those health challenges, God blessed me with a baby. I’ve also been pain-free since giving birth.
