I lost my job a while ago because I had failed to renew my work authorization in time. As I filed for the renewal late, I was told I wouldn’t be getting a new one. I didn’t get any of the jobs I applied for, and for about 6 months, I wasn’t getting any income and was owing about 4 months of rent.

I was blaming myself that if I had renewed my work authorization on time, this wouldn’t have happened. But I continued listening to Pastor Prince’s messages. In one of his teachings, he said we should continue to declare that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and all good things will be added to us, so I did.

Sometime later, I got a call from a recruiter who saw my résumé online and was looking to fill an urgent position. Within 2 weeks, I started on the job, but I wasn’t paid until 2 months later because of the company’s pay circle. While waiting, I continued believing that God was good to me and that He loves me. I continued confessing that I am the righteousness of God in Christ.

Through it all, I didn’t lack, and God always raised people to help me. Also, the work authorization I was told could not be renewed was renewed without any effort from me. I also reapplied to my previous company and got the job back without having to go through their tedious interviews again. I knew God was at work.

After I returned to work at my previous workplace, I got paid for the other job I’d worked at, and I was able to clear all my debts and had more to sow and keep.

This experience has assured me that God is with me, loves me, and that I am righteous in Christ. That in my weaknesses and mistakes, He makes me strong. Hallelujah!
