Some time ago, as I was having lunch at home, my dad was in another room getting ready for the day. I am a slow eater, so I was taking my time to chew my food. Since I was eating meat, it took more time than usual.

After eating and washing my hands, I could smell gas. I immediately went to the stove and checked. To my surprise, one of the burners was on at the high setting, which meant huge amounts of liquefied petroleum gas had been released throughout the entire time I had been eating. This was happening only a few steps behind me, as our kitchen and dining table are very close to each other.

I realized that my dad might have forgotten to turn it off a few moments before I had begun eating. A nearby plug point [electrical outlet] connected to our water purifier was also on during this time.

Through Pastor Prince’s teachings, I’ve learned the truths of Psalm 91 and I can truly say that it was the Lord’s protection that preserved my life that day.

I usually meditate on and speak Psalm 91 daily, and I realized that I had not done so that day. Still, the Lord was very gracious and compassionate in protecting me and sheltering me under His wings. Thank You, Jesus! I give You all the glory.
