In May last year, I was headhunted to lead a team at a university in Vietnam. I gave my notice of resignation to my employer but things didn’t go according to plan, and I found myself unemployed from August.

The job market was slow and positions that matched my experience were few. I sent out numerous applications, even for jobs that were paying half my last-drawn salary. In 6 months, I was only called for 4 interviews. 3 had been unsuccessful and the last one was pending a second interview.

Then in early January, Pastor Prince shared on Amos 9:13 MSG in his Vision Sunday sermon about the Lord of time and space:

“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” GOD’s Decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills.”

At the end of the service, Pastor Prince also declared that God would accelerate time for us in the coming week.

True enough, within the next few days, I received calls from 4 different institutions requesting to interview me. And in less than 3 weeks, I received an offer from a university in the United Kingdom. They wanted me to begin work at their Singapore office in early February.

It was indeed a “head-swimming” week. Established universities are well-known for having a long hiring process, but God accelerated time for me. He also knew I was hoping to find a job near my home. My new office is only 2 train stations away.
