I am a student studying in college and was tasked to present in front of my class for the first time. Even though I had my notes with me, I was very nervous. My voice was shaking and my movements were awkward. I felt so ashamed that I cut short my presentation.

Two months later, I had to present in front of my class again. This time, I decided not to use any notes and told my friends that I was just going to speak from my heart. My friends felt alarmed and worried for me, and said I was going to regret this.

When it came to my turn to present, I prayed for God to remove all my worry and anxiety. I still experienced a lot of stress—my hands were really cold and I felt as if someone was drilling into my right temple. Nevertheless, I believed God had already provided what I had asked for even though I did not see it yet.

As soon as I stood in front of the class, I no longer felt any anxiety, worry, or nervousness. Instead, I felt light, confident, and was able to present wonderfully. I cannot explain how the coldness in my hands and nervousness all just went away! It was as if I had become a brand new person—brave, bold, and confident. And I knew it was all by the grace of God.

After my presentation, my friends expressed their surprise at my performance and kept saying I should be a salesman. My teacher even told me I had a gift and that I should be a preacher and speak more in public.

This experience helped me understand that sometimes what I pray for does not manifest immediately, but at the moment of need. I only need to believe and receive.
