Superabounding Grace Brings Blessings In Career, Finances

I have been a believer since 1998. When I received Christ in my mid-twenties, I felt like a huge weight was lifted off me. However, because the true gospel of God’s grace and His righteousness were not preached to me, my heart soon grew cold and weary. When my husband and I were retrenched from our jobs just two years into our marriage, my husband and I became even more discouraged. After twelve years of marriage and despite being blessed with a daughter, we were still living a defeated life.

Finally, we decided to listen to some of your CDs that were given to us by a friend. We heard you preach on God’s superabounding grace, especially in our weaknesses and areas of lack. That created a new, voracious hunger in me to hear more. I started listening to your messages almost all the time. I have learned to practice speaking forth good, declaring that I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and pronouncing His superabounding grace upon my weaknesses.

After only a few weeks of believing Christ and declaring His goodness over my life, miracles happened.

The first two were job-related. I have been working in a legal firm for eleven years and I thank God that my bosses appreciate me. They pile more work on my plate because according to them, “she is responsible and gets things done”! In the past, I crumbled under the workload and stress. But after I started to believe Christ for His goodness, my bosses started to channel some of the load to another person!

Secondly, as I work in a litigation department, I have court cases to help prepare. We had a case hearing that I had forgotten to enter into our firm’s diary. That resulted in an absence of any lawyer for the case! Usually, within the same day, the court would strike out the case, in which case I would have to face undesirable consequences from my boss and client.

I prayed for God’s superabounding favor and chose to look away from my natural circumstances. Five days after the hearing date, our lawyer checked with the court only to tell me that the case has not been struck out! I couldn’t believe it because this has never happened in my eleven years of work in this industry!

We also experienced a financial miracle. As the last Christmas and Chinese New Year were close to each other, we were wiped out financially. After spending on Christmas gifts, we still had to give ang pows (red packets containing money) to my four elderly aunts for Chinese New Year. However, during a Chinese New Year gift exchange session, a relative gave us a big ang pow. The amount she gave us was exactly the amount we decided to give our four elderly aunts! Hallelujah!

All praises to Jesus! I now have an indescribable love for His Word that I have never felt before. I want to thank you for teaching and expounding His Word. Praise the Lord, all glory to Jesus! God bless you, Pastor Prince.
