A few days ago, I started feeling anxious that my apartment might catch fire. The feeling kept coming back as I had experienced a house fire 20 years ago that left me with trauma.

So I decided to pray through Pastor Joseph Prince’s website, where the online prayer team guided me in prayer. After praying with them, I also prayed that God would cover and protect my apartment, the whole building, and my neighbors on the right and left.

About a week later, just after I got home from church, someone banged loudly on my door. When I opened it, it was the fire department. They said someone had reported a fire upstairs, directly above my apartment. I don’t know why, but I felt completely calm when they came. Usually, I get very nervous when I hear a fire truck siren, but I was at peace.

After checking the building, they found that the tenant upstairs had fallen asleep when a lit candle toppled and burned the floor. Thank God the fire department arrived in time and woke him up. Nothing serious happened.

I truly believe God stopped that fire because I am His child and under His protection. I can’t imagine what might have happened if God had not intervened. The whole building could have burned.
