Blessed with New Job, Husband Overcoming Depression

Pastor Prince, your book Live the Let-Go Life was given to me by a dear friend. At that time, I was in a hard place after leaving my job of 13 years. I was in a place of hurt, disbelief, and anger. But I knew that as long as I had the Lord and my husband by my side while I searched for a new job, I’d be fine.

I didn’t realize at that time that my husband was falling into deep depression, and I wouldn’t have him to lean on or support me when I really needed him. He shut me out, stopped eating, isolated himself, and stopped working. I lost communication with my husband, and I wasn’t supposed to be on this scary journey without him. Our income was gone, and I was lost and so scared. But God had a plan.

I was given Live the Let-Go Life by a friend I trusted and who had good intentions toward me. Every morning and most evenings, I picked up the book and could feel the Lord with me. I felt like the book was written just for me—everything I needed to hear jumped out from the pages. It helped make my days bearable as I started my new job and struggled to be a caregiver to my husband.

Today I finished the book and am enjoying my third week at my new job. Additionally, my husband is coming out of his storm. He went back to work, started eating again, and his joy is coming back!
