Citizenship Application Approved by God’s Grace
December 2023 marked my five-year residency as a Green Card holder in the United States. I decided to apply for citizenship, as the law allows it after this period. I prayed over my application and asked God to expedite the process. By February 1, 2024, I had already received my appointment for the interview and examination. God had indeed sped up the process.
However, on the day of the interview, although I had passed the exam, the officer told me that it was not possible to decide on my case right away. I would have to wait 2 weeks for a final answer. I panicked because I knew people in the same situation who had been waiting for many months. I was also afraid that having my application denied could jeopardize my resident status.
On my way home, I remembered a testimony from Pastor Prince where the Lord gave him Ruth 3:18 when the church was buying land for a new building. I rushed to my Bible to read the passage, but the Holy Spirit led me to verse 11: “And now my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you all that you request, for all the people of my town know that you are a virtuous woman.” He also led me to make my request to my loving Father. With tears of joy, I prayed and thanked God that He had already approved my application. I asked Him to keep me in His perfect peace while I waited for the approval letter in 2 weeks.
Two days later, the local immigration office called and told me that my case was approved, and I was scheduled for the oath ceremony the next morning. What a wonderful God I serve! My loving Father cares for every single detail of my life, and the blood of Jesus has forever qualified me to receive all of His blessings.
Thank you, Pastor Prince and New Creation Church, for faithfully sharing the true gospel. May God bless you abundantly.
