Cleared of False Accusations at Work, Received Promotion

I have been working at my company for 9 years and had tried to advance my career for years. I was focused on doing great work and finally had a manager who believed in and supported my career goals.

Then out of the blue, one of the employees filed a complaint to our human resource department. They opened an investigation, interviewed me and others on my team, and requested a year’s worth of communication documents.

In the interview, I learned that the employee made false accusations about my work ethic and character. It was a scary experience, and the accusations were shocking. At first, I was attacked by waves of fear. But I remembered the truths I’d learned in church that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I found Psalm 34:4, which had helped me before, and I meditated on it.

Reflecting on God’s goodness, I decided to pray boldly. I asked God to deliver me from this attack and take me higher as a result; that in some way, I would be blessed in the presence of my enemy. Fearful thoughts continued to come, but each time, I chose to reject them and affirm what I believed.

After a long and drawn-out investigation lasting more than 4 weeks, my leadership team met with me to share that they had found no concerns with my work ethic or communication. Praise God! A couple of days later, my leadership team informed me that I had been selected out of hundreds of managers to receive an award. I had not received an award like this in many years, and I knew this was God showing His love for me.

I was elated to be past the whole thing and so happy about the award I received. But God wasn’t done. A week later, I received a promotion to a new position I had applied for. I had applied for new positions dozens of times over the past 9 years, and nothing ever happened. But this time, I was offered a position with more influence and better working conditions. Praise God He loves us so much that He will do exceedingly more than what I ask for.

As I write this down, my eyes are opened to how closely God is involved in my life, and how He hears my prayers and has blessed me in many ways. My heart swells with love for He is so good and merciful.

Thank you, Pastor Prince, for sharing the good news.
