Some time ago, I slipped, fell, and broke my left hip. I had hip replacement surgery. Two days later, I was discharged and started walking with a walking frame. But I lost my balance and fell again on the same hip 10 days later.

This time, the break split the femur into 3 pieces at the attachment point. The orthopedic surgeon said there was an 80 percent chance of infection. I told him, “The blood of Jesus will keep me clear,” and it did.

I had to undergo another 4-hour operation. After the surgery, the doctor said I would be in traction (lying flat with weights to help the bone heal) for 4 weeks. He also explained that he would have to open the wound to determine whether the prosthesis from my earlier hip replacement was secure, as he had used surgical cable to keep the split pieces of the femur together. After that, I was expected to remain in traction for another 5 weeks.

I asked the doctor what the chances were of sufficient bone growth, and he replied, “20 percent.” I responded, “Jesus will heal me 100 percent.” He just smiled.

During the 4 weeks of lying on my back in traction, I listened to many of Pastor Joseph Prince’s sermons. The one that stood out to me was “Unlock the Power of the Holy Communion.” I began partaking of the Holy Communion every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.

After 4 weeks, the doctor removed the traction weights and sent me for X-rays. I was discharged the following day. Six weeks later, I returned for a follow-up visit and new X-rays. The doctor was amazed and said it was a miracle how well my hip had healed. He also told me I didn’t need to wait 5 months to walk on my left leg again. I could now put full weight on it.

Another 6 weeks later, I went back for more X-rays, and the doctor declared that what I had said about Jesus healing me 100 percent was true. He could see from the X-rays that my hip had healed completely, with no shifting of the prosthesis.

I still partake of the Communion daily with my wife, who has cared for me since my discharge. We give God all the praise and glory for His healing power in our lives. I now walk mostly without any aid. Praise God!
